Nerima Wako-Ojiwa
Nerima Wako is the Executive Director of Siasa Place (SP). The word Siasa means politics, SP is a youth organization established in 2015, dedicated to collaboratively create an environment that enables youth of Kenya to directly engage with the political mainstream in a meaningful way.
Siasa Place educates youth on electoral processes, constitution, government institutions and functions. SP currently works in 13 counties, directly engaged with over 8000 youth and through 180 online campaigns SP has made 131 million impressions online.
Nerima attained her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Sociology from Jacksonville State University 2010 and her Master’s in Public Administration in 2012. Nerima is the Vice Chairperson, Youth Coordinating Committee – Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. Convenor, Youth Serving Organizations Kenya, which is a consortium of 22 youth organizations. Nerima is also a writer, a former columnist with ‘The East African’ and 2018 Obama Leaders Fellow.
Ken Ogembo
Ken is diploma holder in community development and counseling from the Technical University of Mombasa with versed experience in community organizing, social justice and human rights work.
Ken was a volunteer at UJamaa Center, Mombasa. Ex-Muungano Support Trust, an affiliate of slum dwellers international where he organized the movement for the slum dwellers within the three coastal counties being Kilifi, Mombasa and Kawle Counties. He championed negotiation of community land tenure for Mibuyu Saba (Kilifi) and Maweni (Likoni, Mombasa).
He initiated Muungano women on leadership to identify, strengthen and further women’s participation in management of local affairs. The initiative is currently championing housing improvement within the informal settlement of Matopeni Mombasa.
Grace Chege
Grace has over six years experience in the field of Finance four of which are in the nonprofit sector. She has expertise in project finance management, grants management, financial analysis & interpretation of financial data, accounting and audit. Besides having a knack for numbers, Grace is an analytical thinker and a problem solver. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics & Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Judy Achieng
Judy is a conversation starter. She is passionate about meaningful youth engagement and good governance. She champions for youth inclusion as well as their rights, and currently serves as the programs assistant at Siasa Place.
Frank Sewe
Frank is a Communications major from Daystar University with a great passion for the youth, public participation, and the media industry. A strong believer in the power of communication, he believes that the youth should be well represented and have a chance to voice their opinions.

Tele Nzomo
Tele is a bachelor of arts in Political Science and Sociology degree holder from the University of Nairobi. His passion for social and political issues has led him to pursue a career in civil society that seeks to help young people get involved in governance issues.
Daisy Chepkoech
Daisy is a lover of life and has over 8 years of experience in communication with a particular interest in the design and implementation of communication strategies for youth inclusion, particularly in the field of politics and governance.
Moses Ronoh
Moses is a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics with computing degree holder from the University of Eldoret. His love of data management and research has inspired him to pursue a career in monitoring and evaluation, that aims to make it simple for organizations to use real facts to forecast change as a result of interventions.
Annastacia Abutto
Annastacia is a CPA and Bachelor’s degree holder in accounting from Mount Kenya University. She is a highly motivated young lady, passionate about finance and accounting.
Her quest for success is always backed by determination, and ability to explore and gather as much information as possible in the financial field.
Stanley Matano
Stanley is an enthusiastic journalist who has a talent for connecting with the public. He believes that there are numerous unheard perspectives in society, and he endeavors to bring them to light. His charismatic personality and strong social skills aid him in this mission, allowing him to establish strong relationships with his sources.
Emmanuel Odhiambo
Emmanuel is an Environmental Science graduate from Maseno University with passion on environmental statistics and litigation.
He is committed to researching, data analysis, resource mobilization, and supporting the formulation of public policies that strengthen democratic governance and access to fair justice in Africa.
Theodora Joyce
Theodora is a social work graduate from the University of Nairobi with a specialized certificate in online child protection from AFRALTI. My passion lies in creating safe and supportive environments for children and families, leveraging my knowledge of social work principles and online safety protocols with a focus on collaboration and advocacy.
Juliet Atellah
Juliet Akinyi Atellah is a Data-savvy, Digital Strategist passionate about promoting digital safety and open governance in Africa.With expertise in statistical programming and investigative journalism, she collaborates with media centers to uncover impactful stories. Juliet believes in the transformative power of information and strives to create a secure digital environment for all.
Joseph Odero
Joseph Odero is a dedicated development practitioner who is passionate about advancing youth participation, engagement, and empowerment in governance processes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Moi University.
Karimi Janet
Karimi Janet, an LLB Degree Holder from Kenyatta University made history as the 11th president of the All Kenyan Moot Court Competition (AKMCC) who forged a partnership between Kenyatta University and the Supreme Court of Kenya which was recognized by the Hon. Lady Chief Justice Martha Koome recently.
She is currently undertaking The Advocates Training Programme at The Kenya School of Law. Karimi stands as a formidable advocate against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and firmly believes in zero tolerance for GBV, echoing this conviction in both her legal and advocacy work. With a blend of legal acumen, leadership, and a strong voice against injustice, Karimi Janet is a force to be reckoned with in the pursuit of a more just and equal society.

Ian is a passionate advocate for community sustainability and environmental conservation. With a background in community development and environment, he focuses on promoting sustainable practices within local communities. His love for nature fuels his dedication to environmental protection, and he is always eager to learn and acquire new knowledge. Ian's drive for continuous growth aligns with his commitment to empowering communities and fostering long-term sustainability.
